Looking for some fun, off-the-beaten path places to travel - perhaps with a really good dog or two along for the ride? Whether you're into overlanding or just wanting to get a bit farther away from the crowds, there's still plenty of room left in the great outdoors to explore. We'd love to share some of our favorite places to camp, hike and explore, as well as some tips on how to do so safely, responsibly and economically.

We’re a couple of part-time travelers and a pair of rescue dogs - exploring the outdoors and traveling the dusty back roads in search of North America's less traveled places. Join us and follow along as we head out for more dog-friendly, Woof The Beaten Path family overlanding adventures!

There are lots of good dogs out there, just waiting to be adopted at local shelters. Sadly, for many of them, their days are numbered if a foster or forever home cannot be found in time. Please consider rescuing a shelter dog before buying from a breeder.
